Who we are
The Blue Santa Project, locally known as Blue Santa, is a local non-profit group that supports the Yakima valley by providing a Christmas gift to the adolescents in our community.
We work with local partners, volunteers, and donors to ensure children experience joy, generosity, and connection during Christmas.
Our project’s beneficiaries this year will be the Elementary & Preschool students of Toppenish, WA.
We are powered by heart and teamwork. Our 2026 committee has over 30 members working together to bring joy and gifts to every elementary & preschool student within the Toppenish School District. Born from a simple idea to positively impact our community, the project has grown into a full organization.
President Elizabeth Galarza founded the initiative with Santa Mark and formed the community partnership with the local police and fire department in 2024 to get every student at Garfield Elementary School in Toppenish, WA and Harrah Elementary School in Harrah, WA a gift for christmas. Through persistence and dedication; the project was funded completely in less than two weeks with community support by: Artemio Gutierrez, Salvador Osorio & Jose Zuniga. Our partnership with the Toppenish Police Department is represented by Zach Williams and Ryan Castaneda.
Board of Directors include: President Elizabeth Galarza, Vice President Ryan Castaneda, Secretary Selena Melendez and Treasurer Audrey Palomino.
With your support, we’re planning to reach even more children and families next year. Together, we can make the holidays brighter for our entire community.
